Project Letters

As many of you know I do a radio talk show in Phoenix Monday thru Friday. I have not been a proponent of the marches in the streets based on the fact that I feel it simply serves to anger the general populous. I think marches were appropriate in the 50's, 60's and 70's, but we now have to think outside the box!!!

I have come up with an idea and have already received serious press coverage in Arizona. I am also in contact with media nationwide as well as various grass root organizations nationwide. I will be covering it on a San Francisco radio program which will be doing regular updates on this very important project. This project is intended to be a nationwide and eventually a global project that will take place within the next 90 days or so.

The plan is to have anybody that supports Immigration Reform write a letter to our President. This includes children of immigrants legal or undocumented, Undocumented Adults, U.S. Citizens of all nationalities, all gender, all sexuality, all religion etc.. Those Immigrants with families in foreign countries who are also affected by this dilemma will contact their relatives and ask that they send a letter from their country of origin. This will create the global aspect to the project.

This letter will be addressed to the White House and all letters will be sent on the same day!!! This will be able to be done from the privacy of peoples homes and can be sent without return addresses if desired. This will allow those that cannot go out to the streets to ask for relief in the form of a revamping of the currently broken immigration system and a reform that will allow those undocumented immigrants who are currently hiding in the shadows to come out and assimilate into this great country of ours.

Just imagine, children can write brief letters in crayon. The Elderly can write a brief handwritten letter and mail it from the comfort of their home. You can mail it from work. However it must all go out on the same day!!!!

The date......February 12, 2009. February 12 is Abraham Lincoln's birthday and is very symbolic especially because he was so instrumental in breaking the chains of slavery. It is also important because Abraham Lincoln is one of our President Barack Obama's heroes. He has continually quoted Lincoln in his speeches and in his book.

Please join this very important project and tell others about it. You will soon see a groundswell of support for this project. You will see it in the media and you will hear about it in your communities. This is the perfect way to let our new President know about the needs of immigrants who we so desperately need to help.

Please cast your voice in support of this project and tell your neighbors and co-workers to send their letters for change as they so diligently cast their votes for change.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I look forward to speaking with you or communicating with you by email soon. Please feel free to call me or email me so that I can let you know how you can help with this project.

PLEASE SEND ALL LETTERS ON FEBRUARY 12, 2009. The Address to the White House is as follows:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
